24 hour check-out

    Is it possible to configure 24-hr check out qloapp?

    I couldn't figure out where we can physically record check-in & check out guests. Can someone help me with this?

    We have given the option to decide a hotel check-in and check-out time in the add/edit hotel interface.
    Then when an order is created there is the option to decide the room status which is allotted, check-in and check-out. So you can record the status of the guest if he has checked out or not etc.
    But currently, we do not free the room when a guest has checked out of a room. We are working on this issue and soon we will release a patch for this or resolve this issue in our new version.

    So that means we configure only one fixed time checkout & not 24 hour check-out, which basically means flexible check-out. Am I right?

    One can book online & may or may not show-up. In this case also, one has to mark room available for booking. How can we handle this in the software?
    Also, I think there's no module that handles physical check-ins & Check-outs. I guess physical check out is something that is planned for the next release. (checkout is marked & room is made available). Please let me know if I have understood it right.

    My Response: While designing the software we kept this flexible check-in and check-out in our vision. So the check-in and check-out fields in the add/edit hotel interface are just for the record and information purpose.
    It will not have any impression on the search or the availability of the room.
    So your check-in and check-outs are your on-desk operations and you can carry out them as you want.

    Question: If one books online & then does not show-up, then we may need to mark that room available....

    My Response: We will release the new version or patch in the first or second week of next month. Then in the order section, if you make the status check out then it will make the room available.
    So if a guest does not show up then you can just change the status to free rooms.

  • @fiaz, I hope you will provide a patch or an upgrade option that will help us use the new option without having to re-install the software. Or please suggest a method to use the revisions without losing data.
