How to enable SSL certificate and how to setup Email client?
-
Namaste,
is there any documentation how to enable a SSL certificate for the PHP server "PHP 7.2.34-18+ubuntu18.04.1" in the ubuntu container?
Also, I would like to configure an email client to send out emails via external email server. Could you please help here?
I would like to do it on my own. I just need a hint to get started.
Thanks!

Hi @namaste7 ,
To enable the SSL option in the QloApps back office, you need to follow the below steps -
Log in to the QloApps back office > Preferences tab > General > Enable both the below options > Check out the reference screenshot
- Enable SSL on all pages: Enabled
- Increase front office security: Enabled
To configure the email server (SMTP) setting in QloApps, you can follow the below steps -
Log in to the QloApps back office > Advanced Parameters > E-mail > Fill out your email SMTP server details in the below fields - Check out the reference screenshot
- Mail domain name
- SMTP server
- SMTP username
- SMTP password
- Encryption type
- Port
These details will be provided by your SMTP email server.
After saving the details, you can try out to send a test email as well.
For any further queries or doubts, feel free to raise a support ticket

Dear @abhisheksharma!
thanks for your quick reply. I could identify the SMTP server configuration.
Regarding the SSL configuration I would like to know what steps are required to configure one's own certificate or how do I allow SSL support to be enabled at "QloApps back office > Preferences tab > General > Enable both the below options"? Currently it is greyed out.
Do I need to install a SSL certificate like documented here adjusting e.g. apache's virtual host configuration?
Thank you for a hint!

@namaste7 Please contact your hosting provider regarding availability of SSL certificate and its required server configurations. Once SSL certificate has been enabled on your server, you can set QloApps to use SSL by enabling the following two options on Preferences > General page:
- Enable SSL
- Enable SSL on all pages

@namaste7 If your hosting provider does support SSL, make sure to activate it from Preferences > General page by clicking on the link to enable the SSL.

Only after enabling SSL you will be able to enable SSL on all pages.
