Integrating a German TSE (KassenSichV) into POS software — options, effort, and costs?
Hello,
I am looking for information on how to integrate a TSE (Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung) compliant with the German KassenSichV (Cash Register Security Ordinance) into POS software.
Specifically, I would like to understand:
What integration options are available (cloud TSE, hardware TSE via USB/SD card, etc.)?
Are there standard APIs or SDKs provided by TSE vendors?
What are the typical technical requirements for implementation?
How complex is the integration from a development perspective?
What ongoing operational requirements exist (certificates, updates, connectivity, audits)?
Are there recommended providers for developers building or extending POS systems for the German market?
At this stage, there are no known constraints regarding the POS software architecture.
Any practical experience, documentation links, or vendor recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
