      Hi Am I missing something here? The paid for Front Office add-on seems to miss some very basic functions that are available on pretty much any other diary system I have used. 1.Is it correct that you cannot update room availability from the calendar ie Sun 18th Jan is showing 4 standard rooms available and I get a booking over the phone for that night but I cannot simply click on the date / room type calendar and edit 4 to 3 and save and remove the room from inventory. It seems like I have to go into some sub menu to do this? At busy times this delay could easily lead to a double booking.

      1. Can I select a variable date ranges on my calendare ie not 1 day / week / month, but a random duration like 18 days or 40 days? 3. If I sell the last room of and I want to close out a category is there "close out button"? There seems to be a sort of work around by selecting "Inactive" or use "Disable Dates". Is that correct?

      It seems like a big miss that you cannot have these pretty fundamental feature in this Qlo paid for add-on.

      Hoping I missed something and a positive response.

        We would like to clear your doubts.

        1. Update availability from the calendar
          The Front Desk System calendar displays room type rates and inventory in real time. Bookings created from the calendar automatically deduct availability. However, the current interface does not allow manual editing of inventory directly on the calendar grid. Real-time updates are reflected once changes occur through bookings or inventory settings.

        2. Booking random durations (e.g., 18 days or 40 days)
          You can create a booking using check-in and check-out dates for any number of days, as per the standard booking flow. However, there is no separate option to define custom duration values like “18 days” or “40 days.” Bookings are created strictly based on selected check-in and check-out dates.

        3. Closing out a category (“close out” button)
          You can create bookings using the Front Desk system.

        If all rooms in a room type are booked, that room type will not appear as available in the booking flow. If you want to block a room type for specific dates, you can disable it for the required date range. If you want to hide the room type entirely, you can deactivate it from Catalog → Manage Room Types.
